Identifying CSS div areas within a theme

    Is there a faster, easier way to identify the CSS div names for the theme, than having to guess at what name is used for what area? Perhaps in the php structure?

    Hey boplinger,

    You can use a tool on your browser depending on which one you are using.

    – Firefox
    Install Firebug and you can inspect HTML.
    http://getfirebug.com/

    – Chrome & IE
    Click F12 and the inspector will appear.

    – Opera
    Click the right button of your mouse and click “Inspect Element”

    i am not able to understand. all name is defined in your theme file for which you are writing css.

    Pls explain.

    thanks, I have fire bug and will try. But more importantly!

    In WP how do I make a page the default home page/landing/index page? In other words, I’ve already created a page and want it to be the landing page, but can’t figure out how to use the Perma links to do it – if that’s the way nor with the custom menu feature.

    go to setting>reading and choose front page for site.
