Standard WP 1.5 behaviour when using categories/sub-categories seems to be that posts added to a sub-category, also is listed under the parent category. Have searched this forum for hints on how to not display the sub-category posts in the parent category, but have been unable to find a solultion/plug-in that works with WP 1.5. Can anybody help?

  • If I understand you correctly, you’re asking about why the posts to the subcategory have to be in the category as well? Is that it? Sorry if I’ve misunderstood.

However, if that’s what you’re asking, that’s just the hierarchy of it. If you don’t want posts to that subcategory to be shown as a part of the parent category, you’ll need to make the subcategory a parent one, separating it from the original parent.

No, not quite. But found a plugin/help on another tread that did the trick. Plugin can be found at
