stopping single posts in archives

Looked around but can’t find the answer on the forums .. can anybody help ?

I have a blog set up with just single posting on the front page;
http://www.barganews.com/daily/

That is how I want it but I do not want single articles for the archives or search.

There must be a piece of code that I have to remove from those pages to make it work but which ?
