• This plugin adds spam links to every post and has encrypted code in at least the multi-guest-poster/core/license.php file. I assume that is where the code for the links resides.

This is not consistent with Open Source and it shouldn’t be in the WordPress Plugins directory and available for auto install in WP blogs.

  • Please email the details to plugins@wordpress.org as this forum is not monitored by the plug-in directory folks – thanks.

    Yeah, that’s just plain stupid.

The first line of that file reads

<?php /* Reverse engineering of this file is strictly prohibited. File protected by copyright law and provided under license. */

And there’s no reason to read past that. I’ve sent an email for plugins@wordpress.org about it.

It’s the holiday so I’m not expecting a reply soon but Mark’s pretty good about this sort of thing.

Edit: DOH! Beaten again by 2 minutes! Darn you zoonini!! Daaarrnnn yoouuu!!!

    ;D

The plugin has been removed – thanks for the info 🙂

Thanks for the speedy action, Mark, and thanks for sending the email yourself, Jan. 😉
