    Dear all,

    I am currently working on an a new wordpress powered blog and there is a certain thing i wish to achieve with the url structure of my blog posts.

    A perfect example would be the wordpress blog itself located on http://wordpress.org/news/

    This is exactly what i want to achieve, categorizing all my categories/post under ‘News’ wich in turn will show all latest news within the entire blog.

    The url’s i wish to archieve are for example:
    domain/blog/ -> Shows all posts in my blog
    domain/blog/categorie/ -> Shows all posts from a certain category
    domain/blog/categorie/postname -> The actual post

    I have tried to get this to work but with no result thus far, i can see that it is possible, so here i am asking the experts for some help. 🙂 Thanks in advance!

    OK i figured it out and it’s pretty simple. Duh… You can use the base category field n the permalinks settings to ‘fake’ the behaviour if you make this the same as the page for your posts.

    Eg: Post page -> news Base tag -> news

    I think this is basicly what they use on the wordpress.org site.
