No. Not sure what cPanel is?

My bad, thought you managed it through a cPanel. Do you remember your e-mail username and password? If not, you’ll just have to get a new blog.

nope, that’s why I asked the question. wow that sucks. so how do I discontinue the current blog, so I can direct folks to the new one that I create? thanks for your help.

Yeah, you’ll have to. No problem.

I have forgotten username and password, so I made up a new name so I could ask this question:

First of all, to clarify: the login & password for your website are different than your login and password for the WordPress.org support forum. They are separate sites and have no relationship to each other.

how do I log in to my site to update it?

Try using the “Lost your password?” link that is at the bottom of the login screen on your own website.

If that process doesn’t work, you can try some of these other methods for resetting your password. phpMyAdmin is one possibility – it’s a tool that comes with most hosting plans, you can ask your host for assistance with it.

    Resetting Your Password

Starting a whole new blog would really be an absolute last resort – there are many other things you can try first. Good luck and come back if you have other questions.
