Password – reset, but does not work..

I was given the protocol ‘admin’ log-in name, and a small series of numbers for a password.

I logged on to my webhost control panel to manage my blog, and I changed the username and password.

Now, it seems that I am able to login to my database to manage my w0rdpress configuration, but I am having problems logging out. – I just now found that I cannot log in to my blog with the new user-name and password either – whereras I was able to use the new name and pw a few minutes ago…??
