• Does anyone know of a “password protected post” plugin of some sort that works with WordPress version 1.5.1.3 and works for them?

  • Isn’t password protection a built-in feature in WP?

    None of these, as far as I can tell, specifically allow you to set a password for the post, but there are several that allow you to restrict post access to registered users or even users of a certain level.

    Come to think of it, I guess I’m blind….

    Do you have to have advanced controls turned on for that?

    Oh, it is? So you can set a specific post to be password protected – only people that know the password could read your post?

    @tomhanna:

    Advanced controls? I’ll try it

    Admin panel > Options > Writing >
    When starting a post, show: – check the Advanced.
    Next time when opening the Write Post panel it will show a “Password” field. If you leave it blank – nothing will happen, the posts will be visible for every visitor. If you type a password – only those who have the pw will be able to read it.

    Edit. If you are new to WP – this one might help:

    =) Great! Thanks for clearing me up on that.
    Yepp, I’m semi-new to it.
    Thanks for the link! ; )
