No Prompt for Password Protected Post

I created a post today and password protected it. However, when I navigate to the page no password dialog box is offered. I’ve logged out of my dashboard and tried it – nothing. I’ve tried it on other computers where there’s no chance of a random cookie messing things up – nothing. I can see the title of the post which does say “Protected” in front of it, and I can read the first few words of the post, but Continue Reading does nothing.

I have searched and searched and search for an answer but haven’t been successful. Any suggestions? I am a WordPress newbie so I could be missing the obvious…
