301 redirects not working
-
I’ve made my wordpress site live on a subdomain of my current site and then started updating the .htaccess file. I’ve been stymied by this for days and haven’t been able to find any help. Even my host “domain.com” seemed confounded. If you have any ideas please help, I’m hoping not to destroy my google rankings.
my wordpress site is here: http://www.profilemassage.com/wyoming/jackson
The redirects work for redirecting the index and old home pages to the new /wyoming/jackson location. However, none of the subpages are redirecting.
here is an example of what the beginning of the .htaccess file looks like, the first three redirects work, nothing after it does.
redirect 301 /index.html http://www.profilemassage.com/wyoming/jackson
redirect 301 /Home.html http://www.profilemassage.com/Massage/Home.html
redirect 301 /Massage/Home.html http://www.profilemassage.com/wyoming/jackson
redirect 301 /Jackson_Hole_Massage_%26_Spa_Rates.html http://www.profilemassage.com/wyoming/jackson/jackson-hole-massage-spa-rates/in-office/
redirect 301 /Massage/Jackson_Hole_Massage_%26_Spa_Rates.html http://www.profilemassage.com/wyoming/jackson/jackson-hole-massage-spa-rates/in-office/there is also an .htaccess file in /wyoming/jackson containing a redirect from the original installation of wordpress from profilemassage.com/wordpress to profilemassage.com/wordpress/jackson.
Thanks in advance for your help, I’m fairly desperate at this point.
