edit.php (pages->all pages) slow

Hi,

I just imported 17500+ pages in WP from my custom site, and I find out that ‘admin-pages-all pages’ is nearly unusable with such a large amount of post. It took more than 70+ sec to refresh whatever action I do (trash, search, viewing search result …).

I switch to default theme, provide empty plugin dir (no plugins) tables optimized, no revisions, auto-save … Still same. First page show instantly that i get hourglass and blocked Chrome for 70+ sec. Front end of the blog works great, only this part of the admin panel.

Is this normal with so many files!? I thought that solution will be to edit somehow menu item and place filter to edit.php? and prevent to list 9000 pages x 20 post. It looks like it wont works since the speed is same (slow) when add filter.

View all menu is obviously designed for small blog. 17k pages is 46 years blogging with a post a day 🙂

Is there a plugin that will add search for post at the admin backend, than I never need to use ‘pages ->all post’

Please any advice or help would be nice.
