uploading ultimate smart update pinger

hi there

i have managed to download the ultimate smart update pinger. I now wish to upload this via ftp to word press. I had to download it as it was not available in the search field for pluggins. I have now also downloaded a ftp manager called auto ftp manager 5.2

however, i am unsure of how to upload, as i do not understand the prompts such as enter “what type of transfer do you want to perform” and then the “specify ftp connection details” etc etc. are you able to assist and explain in detail how to upload through an ftp manager program.
