How to access a Local WP Install from multiple computers (same network)

Hi, I’m a relatively new user and I have WP installed locally in my office.
What I’d like to find out is how to access it and edit it from my laptop computer on the same network?
I tried installing WP on my laptop and having APACHE use the same ROOT FOLDER but that didn’t work, I’m guessing that I now have another blog on the go with that install?However when I logged in all the previous plug-ins and themes were in the dashboard.
Do I need to access it via IP address? If so, how does that work?
Should I remove the install from my laptop?
