Merge 2 themes together

Hey guys, I’ve been messing around with this for over a week with no success so need some help from the real pros here.

I’ve got two themes, I want to merge these themes so I can get features from one and from the other in a single theme.

What I want to do is insert the calendar area from the first theme under the nav menu of the second theme. I checked the code and tried inserting everything related to that calendar into the corresponding .php files on the second theme, but nothing would show up so I must definitely be missing something (most likely something very obvious I’m sorry for that).

Is there anyone here who can give me a hand or some guide as to how to start doing this?
