  • Hello,

I just read your post and was wondering if you were able to find a plugin to do such features as I am looking for the same thing pretty much. Thanks

this is custom (you gotta pay) plugin territory i’m afraid.

yes, however if you’re up for an advaenture i have a similar set up, but not with the hidden url. I have a site where people log in and essentially see thoir own posts in a category that are private, each user see’s their own posts only. (and admins of course) they create their own posts from the front end. there’s more to what I’ve got going on my site but I won’t bother elaborating.

as for each user being able to access their own set of posts not authored by themselves (by you), you might encorporate a password, or perhaps even use their user to create the post. it could get complicated, depending on your exact needs, but it’s possible, maybe without much code tweeking.

but if you’re got a tight deadline, definately hire someone.

So, I figured something pretty stink’n simple. Give the client their own login and use a plugin called “Allow Categories”. For each clients project, name it a category and post materials under that category and only they’ll be able to see it. I’ve done that w/ 3 clients for side job video work. They love it and they love being able to leave comments there so we have an active discussion going.

    sounds great, carry on!

Thanks jens0771, this sounds like a go for me!!! And thanks to everyone else for your input. I’ll post as to whether it comes out or not. πŸ™‚

oops, thought you were the original poster. Please start a new thread if the issue is not resolved for you, Thanks.

jens0771, is it possible to private message you or give you my email?

I haven’t discovered the proper/safe way to do that here yet, if you figure it out I’m game.

my email is in my profile but I don’t know if anyone sees it, I only see it when I edit my profile. Maybe I’m dense, but I don’t see any way to edit what shows or not.

actually, click my user name. go to my personal and still quite lame site, you’ll see my email on the home page there.

sorry, mis read your request. never mind.
