Insert image into post opens new window, loses post

Hey, gang.

We recently got a new laptop that runs Windows 7, with updated versions of Firefox and IE (we use Firefox).

Since using this laptop, I am unable to insert images into posts or create hyperlinks. The pop up will appear to do so, but once I hit “okay”, “enter”, “submit”, etc., it reloads a new, blank New Post screen. If I go back, my post is there – but no inserted image or link.

Any thoughts on what is going on here? I have turned off pop-up blocker but it did not solve the issue. I really would like to have images and links in my posts! (This does not happen if I upload images from my phone – but of course, the images are hard to move around in my mobile app. Top or bottom doesn’t work well when you’re posts are photo heavy [knitting pics… heh]).
