• Hello,
My old site is http://www.landscapingcalgary.org and I am creating a new site with wordpress instead of dreamweaver. I am very new to this and I am having problems understanding the page title/url thing. From what I have experienced so far I think this is one area that dreamweaver may be easier than wordpress. In dreamweaver you simply put the title in the box where it says ‘title’ at top of page. And for the url you ‘save page as’ and type in your url. Whatever you ‘save page as’ is what your url will be. My practice website for wordpress site is located at http://www.landscapingcalgary.org/wordpress. I will eventually be moving this site to the old sites root at http://www.landscapingcalgary.org
    I have two specific questions
    1) how do I name page exactly like my old site ? for example http://www.landscapingcalgary.org/Paving-Stones-Calgary.html for the url and ‘paving stones’ for the page title. I don’t want to mess with the page titles and urls as the old ones worked very well for me.

    2) Are all the page names and urls going to have to be changed once I move the website to the new root site ?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
