posting pictures

While I’ve had my website for a year, I am a total novice at managing it. I’m having trouble downloading pictures. In the past, I just downloaded from my Iphoto program. Recently, however, when I do this, I get an error message that says the picture cannot be downloaded. I tried re-sizing it, but still no luck.
