Dashboard is bare

    I just reset my password and now I don’t have anything in my dashboard. It is bare. No post, pages, themes, widgets, no editing capabilities.

    I also get ” You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page. ” When I login to my localhost 8888.

    What happened? Please HelP Newbie.

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name.

    – Resetting the plugins folder by renaming the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold” & creating new folder called “plugins”

    I have no tabs in the dashboard to edit or rename. Will your way help?

    I have seen others comments that have uninstalled and reinstalled.

    Just navigate to the relevant folders on your server.
