I would be grateful for help with this. I’ve searched the forums for an answer and haven’t seen anything on this recently.

I’m running twenty eleven and have a list of the current posts (up to 10, I think) on the left sidebar. All older posts are supposed to accessible via the monthly archives, also listed on the left sidebar. However, when I click on the archives it takes me to a page that says: Well, this is embarrassing, isn’t it? ugh. yes it is…

Any thoughts on how to fix this broken link problem would be so appreciated!

OK, well…not feeling the love. I did continue to try to find a solution to this problem. I don’t know where to begin, really. I am such a newbie 🙁

I realized that the archive is a widget. So I looked for that in the forum posts. I found a post from a year ago with a similar problem and the answer was apparently: Check your theme’s archive.php template file.

    I don’t actually know what this means. But I think it’s a clue… 🙂

If there are any good samaritans out there who have any help for me. Really, I don’t have an inkling where to start looking for a solution.
Thanks in advance for any help here…

In the spirit of giving more help than I received… (grrrrrr)

I figured this out for myself by continuing to dig around via google. Turns out that the permalinks were incorrect because I had them set to a custom setting that wouldn’t work with something (I still don’t know what).

So I changed the permalinks setting to default in the following menu: Settings > Permalinks > Common Links > default.

I hope this ends up helping someone who is frustrated with this issue and cuts your downtime on this short.
