Custom fields display on custom display

Hey guys, I’ve been working on a project and have duplicated my themes index.php and generated a new template through it which works fine. What I was wanted to do is have a custom field within a post so that on the page where it lists all the posts it appears there.

I’ve had a look through the forums and the docs, but can’t find anything that has worked.
