internal server error

    lately ive been getting an internal server error as i add new posts. is this wordpress or something wrong with my site? also, i am not a programmer or developer, if i hit the automatic upgrade to new version of wordpress, will i lose all of my site content? is there an uncomplicated way to save content before upgrading?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
