    I was at the last step of the installation process when this popped up:

    Warning: require(/home2/jason/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/default-constants.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/jason/public_html/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 22

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home2/jason/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/default-constants.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home2/jason/public_html/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 22

    Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Tried that, no luck. I used Dreamweaver CS5.5 to upload the wordpress folder. I am also using a PC.

    Hi crason,

    It sounds as if you are missing a required file to finish the installation. I would suggest downloading the package again and trying a clean install. I know you mentioned that you are uploading through Dreamweaver, did you download the installation package again when you tried it?

    I re installed it and this is the new error I get:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home2/jason/public_html/wp/wp-includes/user.php on line 981

    I looked in the code and it says this:

    I still have not been able to figure it out. Same line 981 error:
    ‘show_option_all’../../wordpress/wp-includes/ => ”, ‘show_option_none’../../wordpress/wp-includes/ => ”, ‘hide_if_only_one_author’../../wordpress/wp-includes/ => ”,

    and then some
