[Plugin: Portfolio Slideshow] Trying to add short code directly to php

Hi –
I need to add the code directly to the main.php page. I’ve tried:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[portfolio_gallery]’);?>
and:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[portfolio_slideshow]’);?>neither one works. Is there a way to add the code to the page instead of the post?
