• I read a lot of stuff on the web but I’m still not sure about it.
I searched also on this forum but I didn’t found anything crucial.

I use WP to develop whole websites, not only blog sections.

I usually install my WP stuff in a dedicated subdirectory (for example: http://www.domainname.com/subdirectory) and after the site is ready I apply the procedure shown here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
to access everything directly from http://www.domainname.com

I think it’s a very useful pratice and everything goes well.

The question is: does having all in the /subdirectory affect the SEO performance?
Sometimes I read that it’s better to have everything in the root, but I’m not convinced.

Can you explain to me a little more?
    Thanks a lot
    andrea
