Adding Google adsense in word press 3.2.1 –? Unique problem

When I try to add a google ad to wordpress 3.2.1 in one of the text widgets and press save, it hangs up. It does not display any errors but keeps displaying the progress circle endlessly.

I have no trouble typing any other text into the text widget and saving it. But as soon I type the text below, it hangs up

This did not happen on a previous installation of wordpress 3.2.1 but now every time I install a new wordpress blog, the issue happens

Any ideas
