can't paste images into editor in posts

hi everyone,

I’m noticing that now i can’t copy and paste images directly into the editor when writing up a post. it’s fairly recent, and i’ve noticed is across a host of blogs i write for. I’m running chrome and have noticed this issue on my mac (havent’ tried on my pc yet)

Note: i can still insert images the traditional way through the “insert image” button, but I’d like to be able to copy/paste images in whenever possible.

does anyone have a similar issue or idea of what could be causing this?
