• Hi all,

I’m brand new to WordPress and very very confused.

    Here’s my problem:
I’m working for my professor. She wanted either a form or a program that would easily update her webpages without having to go into the HTML and recode new paragraphs, ect. I was pointed to WordPress and it seems great so far.

My main problem is this: She already has prebuilt pages and there isn’t a separate CSS for them (for some reason she decided to code all formatting/styling of the site into the source itself.)

So my question is this: Is there any way to import prebuilt web pages into WordPress and use them as is? From what I can see, there could be many problems with this if WordPress does allow a user to use prebuilt pages, but I can’t seem to find much on it… So hopefully someone here can help 🙂

    Thanks in advanced!

  • The HTML Import 2 plugin might work for you if the pages are all consistent in their structure.

The only issue could be widths of the main container and inner.

Colours and styling in the HTML should work fine if you copy & paste the code in, but if the old size width is 980px and the new is 940px. you may need to manually update these.
