– Fatal error in the output generally indicates either your theme doesn’t like your version of WordPress, you have a plugin that doesn’t like your version of WordPress, or you have an incomplete install/upgrade.
did you modify the folder wp-content to content? That is not that easy!
No, home/content/30/8332230 is his public_html location.
Check your host’s directions, I think you have WP in the wrong folder. it may need to be in one called /html/

I didn’t do any mods. I just uploaded without a wp container folder…inside the root folder. Simple this is NOT. Have my doubts about spending another week on a simple install. Thank you for the reply. I may just try to reinstall again to a container folder. Also I had a failure in the localhost as well. No rhyme or reason…it just stopped with a database error. Worked one day and failed the next. Almost ready to throw in the towel…frustration to this magnitude is not something to keep visiting. This is not poetry.
Perhaps you simply have some corrupted files or suffered an incomplete ftp transfer. I was just on your site and I can view the login page by appending /wp-admin to your url. That seems encouraging. It’s possible a quick re-upload of the wordpress files might change something. Just a guess, mind you.

I know the admin works but the main url for the site calls the error. Thanks Clayton. I will try a reload as a last-ditch effort…maybe tomorrow after I do some artwork to remind myself that I am not that stupid.
I can still create websites- just not with css and php, javascript- the poetry for code junkies. I can write action script 3 in Flash. The reason I opted for WP was that the iPad doesn’t accept Flash.
My first Flash animation is going to be aimed at iPad’s shortcoming- favoring html 5. Ironic that the iPad folks won’t see my slam…then nobody will see anything anyway if I keep stalling with WP. Two whole weeks and still no content! The hearsay about WP was that it was easy to use- without learning code. This seems to be the school of hard knocks, instead of easy. Poetry is sarcasm or angry humor.

I’m done. I had a two hour session with a professional developer- experienced in servers and php. Getting advise is nice- especially remote help on your own computer. WP IS NOT POETRY! WP is a work in progress- not ready for prime time.
Last error? I tried to go to my domain and got a login page that wouldn’t let me in- even with correct passwords- not admin but my main domain name and absolutely no mods had been made to the new upload. We tried everything- changed logins and fixed the localhost- probably only temporarily. Remote domain asked for login -even after numerous mods. After two weeks of extreme frustration and no help from this forum, I have go give up. Enough said I’m out- problem solved. No more WP. Strongly advise against anyone but code junkies trying to DEVELOP WP. It’s broken for public use. BYE. HAVE FUN.
I can assure you that your experience with WordPress has certainly not been a typical one. Your initial negative impressions concerning WordPress setup and ease of use are so far from reality, and coming from such an obviously inexperienced point of view, that they are completely forgivable. Maybe you will spend some time reading the instructions and documentation and decide to try again sometime. You never know.

It’s good that you found a solution that works for you, and I’m sure I speak for many when I wish you much success in your future endeavors.
