• Hi im great with dreamweaver and have made some terrific tables with css

i want to have these table embedded onto a page and i dont want to use the WYSIWYG editor at all.

i want to be able to embed these html files in the page instead and also hav them linked to the css.

this way all i have to do is update the html file each time

Any ideas how??? im really stuck

    surely it can be done?

  • If your page is called ‘Contact’ you need to crreate a php template called ‘page-content.php’ and put the HTML in there. Obviouse you need to add your header, footer and sidebar, but they are simple enough to create.

Take a look at the Template Hierarchy.

I guess you may also want to add it directly in the HTML editor in the Dashboard and link the css file.

    thanks mate for reply

i have a table1.html file i made in dreamweaver. i simply want this displayed in a post.

editing the theme totally is off the map

cant i just embed this file in the post?

You can’t ’embed’ so to speak, but you can copy and paste the HTML in to your page as Elizzz said. You would need to link the CSS though, so you would need to edit at least one file in the theme.
