Tags in MT BR etc.

    Hello,

    I noticed when in my posts I put a <BR> later when I edit the post
    the tag has been replaced with ‘
    ‘. What is the reason for this?

    It also seems that I am getting a slight functionality difference between
    those two tags. It is hard to put two BR’s in a row to create two new lines.

    Any advise appreciated.

    If WordPress is working correctly, it should be converting your <BR> to <br /> (i.e. valid XHTML). I’ll assume this is what’s missing from your post above. If not, are you using any text formatting plugins?

    You shouldn’t be using multiple <br>s. To get a linebreak followed by another, use <p> or press enter twice.

    Hey guys, you’re right it is converting to the valid XHTML. I missed the entire XHTML thing, wasn’t sure what I was looking at, thanks for the tip.
