Is this a self-hosted site or a wordpress.com blog?
I think it is a wordpress blog…………..
It’s self-hosted. Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
esmi – I don’t think it is self-hosetd. I am registered with Hostgator, so I think the plugin thing doesn’t apply. At the moment I only have one plugin, because the software I am trying to use tells me to install it only after deactivating all the others.

It is self-hosted (ie hosted by a company that you pay).
esmi – I have three plugins. Two are listed on the plugin page, and are not active. The third is not listed in the plugin page, (although it used to be there) but is placed on the left side bar on the bottom, under Settings. Since it is not on the plugin page, there is no way I can deactivate it!
I went to FileZilla, but couldn’t find a phpMyAdmin site. I did find a wp-admin, but no phpMyAdmin.
Must I delete the file entirely, then download it again?
The only FTP I know of is FileZilla. Do you have another option?
No. Please try re-reading the link I gave. This is possible using Filezilla.
I am trying to create a new folder, but do not know how to do this!
(I’m soooo frustrated!) I am currently reading all the FAQ’s in
Filezilla, If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it!

I did rename the plugin folder to plugin_hold, but can’t find the right combination to create a new one!
Just create a new empty folder called plugins within the wp-content folder.
When I right click on anything, I can create a directory, but there is no mention of a folder! I have looked at all the icons in the toolbar, but don’t seem to find what I am looking for! ( Sorry to be so dense!)
