Theme page validation . . .

    I guess this is an open question, do most theme pages here validate?
    My self-hosted blog does not validate, and I’m not certain how to fix the errors. Does anyone have any experience with this?

    themes found on wordpress repository will validate
    plugins are usually the guilty parties in validation

    Yes, I can see some of the errors are in the widgets I’m using. I’ll just have to go through them. But I’m wondering about the document type “Strict” vs. “Transitional”, how is that determined?
