• I tried to install the Buddy Press olugin to my Weaver themed site and now cannot get in to WordPress – get this error using IE8:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_site_admin() in /home/content/12/4940512/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-links/bp-links-core.php on line 704

    and this error with IE9
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_site_admin() in /home/content/12/4940512/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-links/bp-links-core.php on line 20

    What can be done?

  • Hi.

You have a problem with ‘buddypress links’ plugin. This plugin is not updated and is using deprecated functions. So try to delete this folder: ‘home/content/12/4940512/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-links/’ in your site.

I would LOVE to delete the folder (the entire Buddy Press plugin too) but I CANNOT even access the site – just get the “fatal error” How can I get to the folder to delete it?

Could you connect to your site through ftp with a ftp client (e.g. FileZilla (http://filezilla-project.org/))?

If you can, connect to your site and go to the plugins folder and delete ‘buddypress-links’ plugin folder.

P.S.: The problem is with ‘buddypress-links’ plugin, not with ‘buddypress’ plugin. Are different plugins.
