I recently updated to PHP5 on my server in order to upgrade to WP3.2.1. This was an older blog that I am reactivating. When I couldn’t access the dashboard I dumped the old WP files and renamed the folder within my site from “wordpress” to “blog.” Now when I attempt to access the dashboard it comes up as PHP code in the browser. This is true of Firefox and Safari. I’ve tried resaving the wp-config file, but nothing changes. I haven’t seen any posts anywhere regarding this problem and haven’t experienced it with any of the other WP sites I use. Here’s the URL:

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I show you hosted on GoDaddy. Did you contact them? BTW, all your php files come up as plain text which tells me that php in not installed or configured correctly.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll contact GoDaddy and see what gives. I thought the switch to PHP5 was a simple matter of selection, but perhaps not.

Problem solved. As usual, trying to accomplish too much at once I neglected to run the install script. Thanks for your help kmessinger!
