[Plugin: Online Backup for WordPress] The backup could not be started

    Hello,

    just tried to start a manual backup and selected “Download – Generate a full backup that can be downloaded to your computer” – the way I did it about 1 week ago, before I had some issues with new plugins and could not access my site anymore. Then everything worked fine, I had my backup file downloaded on my computer.

    As I said, I’ve already run a backup. Nevertheless, I received these error messages today:
    1)Last backup: A backup has never run.
    2)The Activity Log is currently empty.

    And when I clicked on start (backup) it said:
    ‘The backup could not be started; the following error was encountered during initialisation: WPDB error: Table ‘margie10_backwrdps.wp_wponlinebackup_activity_log’ doesn’t exist. Last query: INSERT INTO wp_wponlinebackup_activity_log (start, end, type, comp, compressed, encrypted, errors, warnings, bsize, bcount, rsize, rcount) VALUES (1313770533, NULL, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0).’

    I have to mention that last week’s issue was solved by my host – I uploaded the backup file using FileZilla and they restored my database. What I’ve noticed though, the pages do not show up correctly: ‘http://mastermind-coaching-and-consulting.com/?page_id=203’ instead of ‘http://mastermind-coaching-and-consulting.com/about/’…

    Hi Margareta,

    Did your host restored a backup file of your database generated by the plugin?

    Try deactivating the plugin, and then reactivating it again. Failing that, try deactivating it, deleting it and then reinstalling it.

    We don’t backup our own table during backup so during a restore they aren’t there, but in most cases this is detected and they are created anew on first load. Sometimes it doesn’t quite go as planned though but we’re in process of fixing this.
