I cannot get my uploads to work. I have set the file permissions to be able to write and this comes up:

“hairvitamin.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to C:\Inetpub\vhosts\livewellmkt.com\httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2011/08.

    Any other ideas?

Where did you set the permissions, and did you make sure they were inherited by the children? (I.e. if you set it on /uploads/ make SURE that 2011 and 08 BOTH were updated too)

I set it for my entire root folder, and made sure that I set it do be the same for all subdirectories and files.

Go double check ’em directly just in case. Some tools don’t actually do what you tell ’em too.

They MAY need to be set to 777 (or full read/write/execute) permissions.

I already set everything to 777, but I am running the permissions for the entire folder again and see what happens.

Yeah, that didn’t do anything 🙁

I am not the sole controller of our server, my company’s programmer gave me access via FTP. Does he control whether I have the ability to change file permissions or not?
