• When I was building my new site http://www.photoculturenow.com I tried installing supercache on two seperate occasions. During production I paused use of supercache to see immediately the effects of changes I made. Both times my posts became disconnected from the database and it badly messed up the site. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help. I just had to rebuild the site……I want to use supercache, but now I finally have my site how I want, and I am afraid to install it. I can’t imagine I will need to pause use of it, but I still want that option. Whats up with all this?

  • Supercache shouldn’t do that. The “If All Else Fails” section of the readme.txt tells you what files are modified/deleted when the plugin is removed so if you’re very paranoid keep backups of those. It should not do anything to the database.
