I’d recommend reinstalling WP if you feel it may be that – you can do this in the admin area by clicking the down arrow next to ‘Dashboard’ and then on ‘Updates’.
Also, try the URL ‘http://janeellen.net/feed’, as that should accomplish the same as what you have.
There are a couple of leading spaces in the rss feed file. The most likely culprits are your theme or a plugin. Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks duck_boy,
I just reinstalled via dashboard. Still no change.
For http://janeellen.net/feed – it give a 404 file not found error.
I do not want to delete the entire install and start over, if its a specific file that is a problem.
Many thanks for the advice.

Thank you esmi,
I deactivated all plugins and reverted to Twenty-Eleven – no change.
Also, I have the same plugins on two other wordpress blogs with the same theme – I checked them again. Their feeds page loading OK.
I have a sinking feeling I will be deleting the entire site and re-installing.
Yikes.
Check that you do not have an leading spaces in your wp-config.php file.

No it isn’t.
If it so seems, its because I have deleted the entire WP files from it.

Deleting my previous two posts doesn’t make the problem go away.
No it isn’t.
Oh – it was when I checked it 46 minutes ago. It was completely valid.
