Technorati Users Can Log into WP as Administrators

    I used the Quick Claim feature on Technorati to claim my blog. This involves inputting the blog username and password, which I did. Now I see that anyone who searches on Technorati and finds and clicks on one of my entries is automatically logged in as Administrator, with full access to the Dashboard.

    I’ve disabled the pinging, but that’s not really the right solution, and in any case the old blog entries are still indexed. I have changed my admin password several times to no avail – clicking on a Technorati link still logs users in as admins.

    Are you sure others can log in? Have you tried logging in from a different computer or browser that doesnt’ have your cookies?

    The Technorati quick claim never asks for your blog username and password. And, never give out your admin username and password, no matter how legitimate the source seems.
