Apache Server at bmseifert.com Port 80

I was using wordpress.com for awhile before I decided to switch to wordpress.org. I already had the domain name bmseifert.com so I purchased deluxe linux hosting from GoDaddy. Once I got that set up I turned off domain mapping via wordpress.com and had GoDaddy redirect all of the appropriate name servers, hosting addresses, etc. to the point where they said everything is set to go for what I want to do. I then installed the WordPress app on GoDaddy, waited for that to take effect, got the email confirming it, then went to visit my site and the whole page is void of all formatting. Whenever I click on something I get the error above and am unable to log in. Also, I’m unable to access the site via FTP through FileZilla because of some problem I’m unable to solve despite the walk-throughs GoDaddy has given me. I haven’t installed any themes yet or done anything to the site (I haven’t been able to touch any settings due to the error).

    Please help, greatly appreciated!

    Brandon

  • My best guess is that the “WordPress address” and “Site address” settings in your WordPress install are not correct. Since you can’t get into the admin area, you’d need to change these settings in a non-standard way (normally you’d set them from the Settings page in the admin area).

    Here’s a great help article from WordPress – http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
