• I just installed the last version of Frontpage Slideshow. It works but, before the update it adapted the pictures so that they fit into the plugin space, now they are magnified. I suppose they are shown in their original size.
    I’m using the Atahualpa theme.

No : the plugin has never adapted the picture size… nor magnified.

Ok, probably I used the wrong words.
I reinstalled the old version of the plugin and you can see the result on this page: FotoComeFare.
With the new version, the same imagines, except for the first one are “zoomed in”, as if they were magnified.

Its because of the post thumbnail function : bigger pictures are probably the post thumbnail pics

So, how can I have images fit in the slideshow space?

Choose the image you want as slider image, post per post…

Oh, I hoped there was a differente answer. Since before the last update this was not necessary, do you plan to go back to the previous situation?

Nope : this feature has beed asked by many people. I just plan to add a way to tweak the post thumbnail size 🙂

Well this could be good as well ;-).
When do you plan to release this feature?

Dunno, I was on something else concerning the plugin :
    – multiple sliders on the same page
    – JavaScript part of the slider as a jQuery plugin
    – multiples sliders engines usable across templates with graceful degadations depending on browser
    – new admin page

    a huge work
