Edits Not Working Properly

I have two somewhat developed sites on WP which are working just fine, easy to create, etc. I now have two new domains, both pointing to the same host as the older URLs, and one of the new domains I’m trying to use the same theme (Snow Summit) as one of my mature sites which, again, looks good, acts fine when I edit it, etc. However, the new site, won’t display changes. If I put widgets in, they don’t display or other ones that I haven’t used, do—it’s just crazy and I’m wasting so much time. I’m using Chrome, deleted my cache, deleted the WP installation once already and reinstalled it, same problem, but no problem on the older site. Make a layout change, voila. The new one, same theme, make a layout change, takes two or three or maybe never refreshes to get to see the change. Change themes, same problem, nothing changes or acts the way it should. The ONLY thing I can think of is that I installed WP on the older sites using Fantastico, this time they have an automatic interface to do that and I used that. Could that be the problem? I wouldn’t say I’m a WP maven, but I’m a very experienced software user and do okay using a lot of the features on WP. Any help would be appreciated. I don’t want to spend the rest of my days trying to set up one site. Thanks!
