    I mistakenly deleted all my files from my server. I installed my backup and everything is working fine. When WordPress is installed I know WordPress is suppose to change the wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php.
    Is it okay for me to delete the wp-config-sample.php file since I did find the wp-config.php file?

    yes its fine to delete the file as it is not used is just sample file

    Hi fanaticjim, wp-config-sample.php is used by the wp-config.php create script during initial installation. If you already have a wp-config.php file and your site is working, technically you could delete the wp-config-sample.php file.
