Using tinymce plugin with 2010 theme

I have been looking for a WSIWYG way to change fonts in WP and posted here a couple of times. No one mentioned the following plugin “tinymce-advanced.3.4.2.1” which allows you to change size, color etc without going into the style.css file. Is there a reason that this has not been used by the community? Anything negative about it.
