Show posts instead of page content

Hi

I am having a slight issue. On my front page I have a list of the the 5 latest posts. underneath the list I have a link that says ‘view all news’.

this goes to a page called ‘news’ which then displays all of the posts. Unfortunately when I put the loop into the ‘news’ page template it displays the content of the page and what I want to do is show all the posts. (as if it is a static page)

does anyone have any idea how I can solve this?
