Allow Subscribers to access a plugin

Hello,
I need to allow subscribers to be able to access a calendar plugin via their dashboard to add their events. I am not a plugin developer, i know my way around php a little bit but nothing to complicated. Is this something that needs to be taken care of inside the plugin files or functions.php. I want them to be able to see only the calendar tab in the menu not all plugins. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks
