Category Page only displays Single Post

Hello,

I’m currently working on a site for a client, and totally stuck after a full day of troubleshooting.

My problem: There is a Topics page, and all of the categories are found under it. I would like the visitor to click the category, and all of the posts under that category to display. Currently, only one post is displaying.

I have a custom template for the Topics page that works fine, and the categories are permalinked as domain.com/topics/category1. I’ve looked at the Category hierarchy and edited both category.php and archive.php but neither is having an effect on anything. I’ve also changed read settings, and all other pages display the right number of posts.

Strangely enough, tags are working just fine. If I click a tag, it takes me to the permalink domain.com/topics/tag1, which displays a list of all posts related to that tag. This is what I’d like from my category page.
