Adding Custom PHP page.

Hi,

I need your guys opinions on whats the best way to create custom PHP pages.

I needed a custom PHP page which I could use to generate a select drop down items (<option></option>) from a table in the database. I just went and created a page in WP-Admin and made it use a custom template called “Selects” (which I have a selects.php for it)

I am just wondering is this a correct a good way to use for custom PHP pages?
