We currently have the latest version of WordPress and haven’t been able to insert an image since the initial version 3.1.3 when we created the blog. After selecting “insert into post”, the popup screen goes white and just sits there. After closing the popup window using the X, the image is not in the post. I have tried different computers and different browsers without any luck. I have read forum posts where they suggest cosing all tabs in the browser, but that didn’t help either. Please help!!

    Thanks,
    Chad Hancock

Start by turning off ALL of your plugins, and see if that helps.

Can you list the browsers you’ve tried, too?

I have the latest version 3.2 and still no luck. I was not able to insert images before I had any plugins running. Now the only plugin running is Google Analytics. Disabling it does not help. I have tried IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, so it is not browser related. I have made sure there are no other tabs open in the browser as well. I have tried on mutiple computers as well.

I have seen may posts about thsi issue, but there never seems to be a common fix listed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

If the screen is completely blank, that indicates there is probably a PHP fatal error.

Is this a brand-new installation of WordPress? If so, try reinstalling from scratch; as there may be a file or 2 that wasn’t installed correctly.

If not, try reinstalling the update using this method.

Thanks, I will give that a shot. Yes, the flash or popup window is completely blank.

Curtiss, thanks for the recommendation to do a manual reinstall. That fixed it!

    Awesome. Glad that worked.

Can you please mark this thread as “resolved” so that other helpers know they don’t have to worry about it? Thanks.
